Eagan Outlet Mall Nike Store Thief Strikes Again

EAGAN, MINNESOTA—According to legal documents from the Dakota County Attorney's Office, Eagan Police responded to a theft at the Nike store on April 16, 2024. The person suspected of stealing was Jimmy Kernealeous Moses, who had been banned from the Eagan Outlet Mall and Nikon store since December 27, 2023, due to a previous theft arrest at the same store. In this latest incident, it was reported that an employee with Nike reported to Police an individual was wearing a black ski mask, dark jacket, jeans, and black and red Jordans and walked out of the store with a gray tote bag concealing shoes that he did not pay for. The suspect was last seen walking toward the transit station. Eagan Officers went to the transit station and found a suspect matching the description. Mose was arrested and given his Miranda rights, after which he admitted to police that he went into the Nike store, took the shoes, and walked out without paying. While he was searched, officers also found a small piece of paper in his sock with a suspected controlled substance in it.

According to the complaint, two pairs of shoes were found to cost a total of $244.98. Court records show Moses is being charged with 3rd Degree Burglary (Public Building)(Within One Year of Trespass)(Prior Convictions). According to court records, Moses is currently being held at the Dakota County Jail without bond or bail until his first court hearing on April 22, 2024, at 1 PM in Hastings, Minnesota. As this is an active case, Moses is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Court records show Moses has several felony theft incidents, including the pending felony Theft case from December 27th at the same Nike store, a felony theft conviction from West St Paul from August 2023, and a 5th-degree Drug Possession from September 7th.
