Nissan SUV Collides with Toyota Camry, Causing Fire and Traffic Delays

MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA - Around 10:45 AM on Thursday, April 18, 2024, a Nissan SUV struck a Toyota Camry along northbound I-35W near 38th Street in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Soon after the crash, the Toyota Camry caught fire, and the local fire department was dispatched to extinguish the fire quickly. The crash and resulting fire caused the Minnesota Department of Transportation and MnDOT crews to briefly close two out of the four lanes of northbound I-35W, resulting in significant traffic delays.

The Minnesota State Patrol confirmed no injuries were reported due to the crash or fire.
