Lakeville Fishing Team Reels in Success: Donates 1,300+ Cans to Charity and Wins $5,000 Raffle Prize

LAKEVILLE, MINNESOTA—Excitement filled the air at the Big Bass Bash event in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, on April 20-21, 2024, where the Lakeville Fishing Team made waves by showcasing their angling prowess and demonstrating their commitment to giving back to the community. The team's efforts culminated in a remarkable feat as they donated over 1,300 cans of food to the local charity, Hope House, and ended up winning a raffle prize of over $5,000.

The Lakeville Fishing Team's success was no stroke of luck; it resulted from dedicated teamwork and widespread community support from all who chose to donate. "We always strive to make a difference in every community we visit, and we are so grateful to help out here in Miller County with Hope House!" exclaimed team Coach Kara Pasma in a Facebook post. The $5,000 prize couldn't have come at a better time for the team, as it will be instrumental in providing essential gear for the student anglers and furthering their fishing endeavors.

The team would like to thank everyone who stopped at the Cub Food in Lakeville last Sunday and donated, as this could never have happened without your support. The success of the food drive was a testament to the kindness and generosity of the community. "Never underestimate the kindness of others!" remarked the team on their Facebook page, reflecting on the overwhelming response to the food drive. The donations allowed the team to enter 327 tickets into the raffle drawing, the team's chances were high, and indeed, luck was on their side as their ticket got pulled for the coveted $5,000 prize.

The Lakeville Fishing Team's remarkable achievement exemplifies their prowess on the water, compassion, and commitment to giving back, inspiring communities far and wide.
