Rick’s 16th Annual Bike Sale: All Profits Donated to Two Local Non-Profits

APPLE VALLEY, MINNESOTA— Rick’s 16th Annual Bike Sale will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 11 AM to 3 PM (or until supplies last). This event will be held at a new location at Dick’s Valley Service, 5905 Upper 147th Street West in Apple Valley, Minnesota. The sale of refurbished bikes is for all ages, and all proceeds of this event are donated to two local non-profit organizations: DARTS and Kids ‘n Kinship. According to their website, 470 bikes were refurbished, sold, and/or donated last year, and $62,955.28 were raised and donated. For the best selection, it is recommended to get there early!

Kids ‘n Kinship

This private non-profit organization matches children who might need an additional supportive relationship with a carefully screened adult. They aim to provide friendships and positive role models to children and youth ages 5 to 16. Their vision is to build a stronger community through youth mentorships. DARTS

DARTS is a community-based non-profit that helps to connect senior citizens to services and partnerships to improve their quality of life, help them age well, and enable them to engage in the community for over 50 years! Their mission is to create connections that enrich aging. For senior citizens 55+, their vision is to be a respected leader in providing equitable solutions to keep people of all ages connected and active to support a healthy and happy community.
