Store Clerk Pepper Sprayed During Battery Theft in Eagan

EAGAN, MINNESOTA - According to the Eagan Police Department, a robbery occurred at around 2:05 PM on Monday, March 18, 2024, at the Batteries Plus on Town Centre Drive in Eagan, Minnesota.

According to the Eagan Police, staff reported that a subject came into the store and took one deep-cycle lithium battery. When a clerk with the store attempted to take the battery back, the suspect sprayed the clerk with pepper spray before leaving the store with the battery. Witnesses who were at the store said that two employees might have ended up being sprayed by the pepper spray.

Since this case is an open investigation, Eagan Police cannot provide additional information.
